Offering Envelopes
The use of offering envelopes is probably the most “traditional,” and for some the most comfortable. Offering envelopes come in a booklet, with envelopes for each week that can be torn out of the book and utilized. You can drop off your envelope at the church office, put in the offering plate, or it can be mailed.
How to start: If you would like a booklet of offering envelopes, contact the Finance Administrator.
Give Electronically
(Simple Giving)
This method gives you the convenience of automatic payments from your bank account without having to go through the process of setting it up – and you can still make changes as often as you like! (Setting up the account and all changes require a signature and is administered by the Finance office).
How to start: Complete a Simple Giving form authorizing St. John to set up the automatic payment for you (making the process “Simple”). You can fill-in the form online OR print a copy, fill out and return it to the church office.
Give Online
With online giving, you can easily manage your own one-time or automatic donations through our website or app. All transactions are securely processed through a trusted third-party provider, giving you full control and peace of mind.

Give to the Church
Your weekly offering to St. John supports the ongoing work of the church by funding worship, outreach, faith formation, and direct contributions to partners like St. Luke’s Home, Badlands Ministries, and the ELCA. These gifts are used immediately to support the life and mission of the church each week.

Give to the Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund is a long-term investment that preserves your gift and uses a portion of its earnings to support ministries, special projects, and mission outreach beyond the regular budget. It provides sustained support for future generations through strategic, prayerfully guided distribution.
