Be the Hands and Feet of Christ
Jesus says, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45
At MC3, we are on a mission to love and serve our community. We want to help those in need and give hope to those who are hurting. We encourage our members to serve in those areas where their talents and the community’s needs meet. We might offer the perfect opportunity for your service here at MC3. Perhaps another nearby church or charitable organization has the perfect service opportunity for you. Or your passions may lead you to create your own ministry opportunity. Here are some opportunities you can pursue through MC3.
LOCAL MISSION
Volunteer at Lilburn Co-op
One of the local missions supported by MC3, Lilburn Co-op serves individuals and families in our community who are in need of food, clothing, and shelter assistance. There are many ways you can get involved, including:
- Sorting, organizing, and storing donations
- Assisting in the thrift store
- Donating food and supplies
- Organizing or participating in food drives
March is the church’s designated month to help fill the co-op pantry, but there are opportunities to serve and give throughout the entire year. Every act of service and every donation helps meet practical needs while showing the love of Christ to our community.
LOCAL MISSION
School Volunteer
Looking for a simple way to make a difference in a child’s life? Lilburn Elementary School and other local schools offer opportunities to encourage and invest in students in meaningful ways. There are many ways you can serve, including:
- Helping with small groups
- Listening as children practice reading
- Mentoring and encouraging students
- Supporting teachers and school programs
Many students simply need a caring adult who will encourage them, support them, and show them love. No special skills are required, just a willing heart and a desire to make an impact in the life of a child.
